Clackamas County’s Budget Office is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who has excellent communication and is great with details and multitasking to join our team as a Budget Coordinator. The successful candidate for this position will perform journey-level budget work in preparing complex and technical analysis in support of the County-wide budget. The incumbent may be focused on a specific aspect of budget preparation, such as position control or cost allocation. Work is subject to review by the Budget Manager and there is limited responsibility to recommend action or advise management on budget operations.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced administrative support professional who values diversity and has a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must be able to handle a fast paced work environment, the ability to work independently, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and resiliency.
The Budget Office is responsible for coordinating the budget process throughout the year. The cycle begins with analysis of departmental funding requests, continues through Budget Committee review and approval, and Board of County Commissioners adoption of the budget for the new fiscal year. The process continues as the year unfolds with revenue and expenditure monitoring and budget changes as approved by the Board. The Budget Office also produces the county cost allocation and indirect cost plans.
