City Manager’s Office Salary: $96,928.00 – $155,084.80

One permanent full-time position available

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Responsibilities: Assists the City Manager in a broad range of projects, programs and other activities involving city government administration. Supervises City Departments and Divisions, as well as other operations as assigned. Directly supervises 2 to 8 employees. Indirectly responsible for approximately 25 to 75 employees. Manages special projects as assigned by the City Manager. Serves as Acting City Manager in the absence of the City Manager. Serves in interim Department Head roles as assigned by the City Manager. Communicates and coordinates with Administrative staff at all levels and the general public regarding issues involving City services including complaints, problems, policy issues and service delivery. Prepares for and attends City Council meetings; follows up meeting agenda with staff; communicates with Council members. Makes presentations and represents the City at various meetings. Prepares correspondence and administrative materials including reports, collective bargaining materials, policy statements, contracts and agreements, requests for proposals and resolutions. Coordinates and participates in collective bargaining, contract proposals, negotiations, impasse process, and other personnel related matters. Leads the budget review process with the Finance Director and works with departments to refine budget requests as appropriate. Monitors and authorizes budget expenditures for the divisions supervised. Makes recommendations for budget modifications. Conducts self in a manner which promotes and supports diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and community. Performs other related duties as assigned.
