Management Analyst, City of Portland
The Bureau of Development Services (BDS) is responsible for implementing codes and policies related to construction, development, land use and property maintenance within the City of Portland’s service area. The Management Analyst works within the Communications and Organizational Development Section of the Director’s Office in BDS and is responsible for managing the development and update of program guides, code guides and City and State code-related documents, including drafting, editing and finalizing such documents. The Management Analyst coordinates issues, collaborates with stakeholders, and consolidates input on codes and policies that are governed by a variety of State building codes, federal and state laws, and City codes and policies. This Management Analyst position also coordinates and ensures the consistency of the bureau’s operational policies, including their development, implementation and revision.
The Management Analyst must have knowledge and experience researching, applying, developing, or writing model codes and/or municipal codes, state building codes, and/or related rules, or regulations. The Management Analyst manages a varied and complex assignment portfolio with multiple deadlines. This position is expected to carry out duties and responsibilities with initiative and creativity, while exercising sound professional judgment.
