The successful candidate will support and participate in financial analytic assignments including preparation of the biennial budget, monitoring and tracking departmental expenditures, assisting the Manager or Senior Analyst with research and analysis on special projects, such as maintenance of forecasting models, utility rate studies, capital programs and special revenue funds.
Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this position provides a leadership role in all aspects of the Department’s financial operation, planning and management. Applies strategic planning principles to help achieve vision, goals and objectives of the Fire Department and City. Creates, reviews and maintains performance measures and standards, and evaluates program performance against established performance standards and objectives. Supervises the Fire Department’s central purchasing and fleet personnel.
Under the direction of the Deputy City Administrator, this position is responsible for the strategic management and administration of outreach and media relations for external and internal audiences in the City of Redmond. Works with City departments to advance community priorities through the development and deployment of effective communications strategies, including traditional and social media. Also works with elected officials and staff throughout the City to ensure coordination of communication and outreach efforts across a wide variety of municipal programs. In addition, this position is responsible for working with the City’s Emergency Management Team in the development and implementation of effective emergency outreach communications. May be required to supervise professional or technical communication staff.
