The City and County of San Francisco is conducting a national search for an engaging, customer-service driven executive to oversee the award-winning Department of Technology with over 250 employees and an annual operating budget of $116 million.
The Director of the Department of Technology/Chief Information Officer (Director of DT/CIO) is at-will management-level position reporting to the Mayor with functional reporting to the City Administrator. The Department of Technology delivers critical core services to over 30,000 employees and 850,000 residents.
The ideal candidate will provide outstanding leadership to develop, expand, and achieve improved operational efficiencies as well as instill a service orientation focus within the Department of Technology. The Director of DT/CIO will provide strong fiscal management and accountability with a creative approach to identifying funding opportunities.
Requires 10 years of increasingly responsible experience that includes significant executive-level management responsibilities. A Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in computer science, information systems engineering, or related field is required; a Master’s degree is desired.
The normal annual salary range for this position is up to $235,820; flexible benefit plans are also provided.
