Program and Support Manager – Water Department

Salary:  $6,075 to $7,391 per month

The City of Hillsboro’s Water Department is looking for a bright, capable individual to join its team as Program & Support Manager and to lead its Administrative Support Staff.  The Water Department is a fast-paced environment, operating both regional water supply and local water distribution systems, and moving forward on over $400 million in capital expansion projects for two regional water supply systems.

This individual will be a key member of the leadership support team, working across multiple locations. Strong management analysis, communication and leadership skills will be necessary. This individual will help to deliver improved value by developing programs and a reporting system for performance measurement across different lines of business.  Other special projects this individual will be involved in include evaluation of capital funding options and management of rate study projects.

Positions assigned to the Water department may be responsible for:

  • Management consulting and financial analysis functions such as development and implementation of programs for measurement and reporting performance; recommendations for performance improvements; evaluation of capital funding source alternatives; and strategic planning;
  • Supervision of the department’s administrative services staff;
  • Management of special projects, such as rate studies and policy development.

Part-time Librarian

Salary: $24.62 to $29.96 per hour (depending on qualifications).

Benefits include prorated sick leave and a TriMet Passport.  Benefits such as vacation leave accrual, holiday pay, medical and dental insurance, and other similar benefits are not provided.

Hillsboro Public Library is seeking Librarians who are passionate about providing public services to our growing, vibrant, and diverse community. We have part-time schedules open in Adult Services, Youth Services, and at our Shute Park Branch; we are seeking on-call Librarians at this time, too. We are looking for people who will be instrumental in helping our staff and patrons grow, learn, and have fun; explore new ideas; and bring curiosity to their work. Part-time Librarians work 20 to 25 hours per week depending upon availability.

Fire  Inspector II

Salary: $5,880 to $7,885 per month, depending upon qualifications, plus benefits.

Conducts fire code inspections, fire cause investigations, public education, and enforcement work in carrying out the City’s fire prevention program; performs directly related work as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid  State Driver’s License, and a safe driving record;
  • NFPA Fire Inspector II or  DPSST certification as Fire Prevention/Investigation Officer II or  DPSST certification as Fire Inspector II;
  • International Fire Code Inspector II;
  • Public Fire and Life Safety Educator I;
  • Public Information Officer; and
  • NFPA Instructor I.
