bridgeport villageThe City: The City of Tualatin, population 27,000, is a dynamic, vibrant community ideally located just 12 miles south of Portland and 30 miles north of Salem, the state capitol. tualatin city hall libraryThe Organization: The City of Tualatin is organized under the Council/Manager form of government, with the City Manager serving as the administrative head of the organization. The current City Manager has served since December 2006 and is only the organization’s fourth City Manager. The City has a history of progressive leadership with stable and civil governing bodies, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through well-managed, responsive city services, and a record of fiscal prudence.

The Position: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, developing and implementing special projects and programs for the department which is comprised of Transportation, Engineering, Planning, Economic Development, and Building. Candidates for this position will be polished and professional, with excellent communication and project management skills. These attributes combined with a bachelor’s degree in: public administration, planning, engineering, or a business related field coupled with three (3) years of experience in project management, public administration, planning, or land development would make for a nicely rounded portfolio. A Master’s degree would be preferred; however, any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience which ensures the ability to perform the work may be substituted for the above. Additional job requirements will be outline in the recruitment packet. Salary range is: $54,412 – $68,931.
