Director of Utilities, Midland, Texas

midlandMidland, Texas, is seeking a new Director of Utilities. With a population of 116,924, the City of Midland is the midpoint between Dallas/Fort Worth and El Paso. Midland is governed by a Home-Rule Charter and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City has 1,061 full-time employees and an FY2013-2014 annual budget of $221,800,404. The Midland Water Utilities Department is comprised of 51 employees and the water and sewer fund has an FY2013-2014 annual budget of $62,425,902.

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of management experience, at a department level or equivalent, required. Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of state (TCEQ) and federal regulations related to water and wastewater and familiarity with ground water resources and management desired.

Human Resources/Civil Service Director, Lakeland, Florida

Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of professional human resources experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, required. Master’s degree, professional certification in human resources, and experience with collective bargaining negotiations preferred. NeoGov experience desired.

Public Works Director, St. Charles, Missouri

This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in a picturesque, family oriented community minutes away from St. Louis. The City of Saint Charles, Missouri is seeking an experienced Public Works Director to oversee a $41 million annual budget and 111 employees in 4 divisions.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in project management with demonstrated experience in effective implementation and timely completion.

  • Successful track record in strategic planning and execution.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, P.E. certification, public works department management experience in a similarly sized community preferred. Salary range $105,000 – $120,000 DOQ with competitive benefits package.

Convention & Visitors Bureau Director, St. Charles, Missouri

This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in a picturesque, family oriented community minutes away from St. Louis. The City of Saint Charles, Missouri, is seeking an experienced Convention & Visitors Bureau Director. St. Charles (64,000) attracts 1.5 million visitors annually.

The City employs 400 within twelve departments. Department Heads report directly to the Director of Administration. The Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is responsible for the marketing and branding of the community as a destination for tourism, conventions, meetings, conferences, festivals and events. The CVB also promotes businesses in the historic district and facilitates an array of special events produced and staged throughout the City. Additionally, the CVB manages the contract for convention center operations.

Bachelor’s degree and six to nine years of marketing, public relations, advertising, or related experience, with five years convention and/or visitors bureau management experience, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Other hospitality industry experience will be considered. Very competitive salary and benefits package.

IT Developer, Addison, Texas

Finance Director, Amarillo, Texas

Amarillo, Texas, is seeking a new Finance Director. The City of Amarillo, with a population of more than 194,000, is located in the Texas Panhandle. Amarillo has 2,085 full-time employees and 346 part-time employees. The FY 2013-2014 budget is over $298 million including a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget of over $58 million.

The Finance Director reports to the Assistant City Manager for Financial and Leisure Services, and directly supervises the department heads for the Finance Divisions including Accounting, Municipal Court, Purchasing, Risk Management, Health Plan Administration, and Utility Billing. The Finance Division comprehensive FY 2013-2014 annual budget is just over $7 million.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in a financial management capacity involving the administration or coordination of a financial system are required. Master’s degree, CPA credentials, and minimum of five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain associated NIMS training certificates.
