Midland, Texas, is seeking a new Director of Utilities. With a population of 116,924, the City of Midland is the midpoint between Dallas/Fort Worth and El Paso. Midland is governed by a Home-Rule Charter and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City has 1,061 full-time employees and an FY2013-2014 annual budget of $221,800,404. The Midland Water Utilities Department is comprised of 51 employees and the water and sewer fund has an FY2013-2014 annual budget of $62,425,902.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of management experience, at a department level or equivalent, required. Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of state (TCEQ) and federal regulations related to water and wastewater and familiarity with ground water resources and management desired.
