SALARY: $10.83 – $18.69 Hourly
HOURS: 30-40 hours a week

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This is a 12 month internship. To be considered for an intern position you must be a student enrolled in school during the term of employment. Spring 2014 graduates will not be eligible for this internship unless documentation of continued educational classes (graduate school) can be provided. Applicants must provide current grade point average and proof of enrollment in classes at time of application. Maintenance of a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average and continued enrollment in classes pertinent to the internship is required.

Hours: 30-40 hours a week during the school year; 40 hours per week during summer and school breaks; hours are flexible based on school schedule; normal business hours are from 8am – 5pm.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will assist with research for industrial development strategies and actively participate in implementing those strategies to encourage traded-sector development in the Port’s business parks in Portland, Gresham, and Troutdale. The majority of the work will be within three (3) core functions: Marketing and Branding, Business and Economic Development, and Selling and Leasing.
