As our December 31, 2013 deadline for the $25 membership price looms near, we’ve had some questions and confusion about ELGL membership and the sign-up process.

Q: I can’t remember my log-in from 2013. What is it?
A: 2014 marks the first year that ELGL requires a log in to experience all of the benefits of membership! If you have not yet created a log in, then you must first register as a new member. Once you’ve done this, you can log in and remain logged in so you don’t miss a minute of members-only content. (After January 1, we’ll be turning on the filters so members can only access most of ELGL’s exciting content).
Q: I entered my email address but the system won’t recognize me. What’s happening?
A: Most likely, you haven’t yet registered. We started registration in 2013 to give people a chance to sign up at a discounted rate. You need to first sign up for 2014 and get a user name and password so you can log on.
Q: Why is the internet so confusing?
A: It’s hard. We know. Hang in there, you can do it.
Q: Seriously, I can’t log in and I’m not sure why. You have my email address from 2013, right?
A: We are so glad you are a member in 2013! Thank you. But, you need to register for 2014 in order to have a site login and password. Going forward you won’t run into this issue, but every site registration needs to start somewhere – and we’re starting now, for 2014, on ELGL.org.
Q: Why is ELGL using a log in system for 2014. This is too confusing for me.
A: We’ve realized over the past three years that ELGL members most value our communications, innovation, and networking. Having a password protected site for members only allows our members to reap the benefits for ELGL and provide for some very minimal overhead revenue for our organization. We appreciate your membership!
Q: How do I sign up more than one person?
A: Easy! If you have 10 or more people, it’s most cost effective to purchase an organizational membership. This is also a great way to show your support of ELGL and our mission. If you have less than 10, you can just register each person individually, taking care to “log off” after each registration is created.
Q: I bought an organizational membership. What now?
A: First – congratulations and thank you! Organizational memberships are the best way to share the vision of ELGL with your colleagues and to help ELGL grow as an organization. Now, you can expect a password to be sent to you. This will allow you to register people within your organization under your membership.
