No Humans, No Problem: How Wall Street Avoids Working Through the Holidays – We use computers for so many things over the holidays, from online shopping to video chatting, so why not go all in and let it run the stock market, too? That’s what a growing number of Wall Street firms are doing, says The Wall Street Journal. A few of the questions reminded me of questions I’d had to answer decades ago when I was getting my security clearance in the military.

We need your help! My name is April Buzby. I am a graduate student in the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management at the University of Oregon. I am conducting a survey of community leaders in Lane County to better understand the region’s ability to come together in local actions towards economic development. These organized local actions, termed as community efficacy, are a vital aspect of a community’s ability to engage in viable and sustainable economic development over time.

The Forest Grove City Council relies heavily on citizen volunteers to study special community issues, provide direction, obtain public comment on key projects, and take action or offer recommendation on a number of matters.  There are presently ten City advisory boards, committees, and decision-making commissions.
