Occupational Fraud – Is Your Government at Risk?
RSVP to Megan Messmer, ELGL Project Coordinator, email@example.com.
You may have heard that employee fraud is on the rise. But did you know that most of that crime comes from highly trusted employees who have worked for their organizations for 5+ years? Small organizations, including local governments, are disproportionately victimized by occupational fraud — and not only in the Finance department but other areas as well. Join us for a quick, one-hour look at identifying and preventing employee fraud. Topics to be covered include:
- What are the most common ways that employees embezzle funds?
- What are some affordable, easily implemented strategies and processes to reduce your risk?
- What should you do if you suspect employee fraud?
