This position will manage and oversee the assessment services and programs, as well as provide technical support for appraisal processes. The responsibilities will include designing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving a cross training program within the department as well as with the Auditor and Treasurer, with whom the Assessor’s office shares a lobby. The position will determine best practices, and will leverage and solicit employee knowledge, skills and abilities in order to create efficiencies and support excellence in customer service. The position will oversee the development and implementation of department-wide processes, programs and policies, website presence, and support budget processes. This position will be tasked with designing and implementing process improvement initiatives, adjusting work processes and procedures inclusive of technological enhancements or policy changes. The incumbent will be required to use considerable independent judgment in balancing the coordination of department goals and objectives with the activities of other sections of the department. Supervisory responsibilities will include planning and scheduling workflow, assigning staff, ensuring training, coordination and evaluation of employees.
