The City of West Linn, a beautiful community located 15 miles south of Portland, is seeking an in-house Assistant City Attorney who will be responsible for providing assistance on municipal legal matters. The position plans and directs legal actions within the limits of the general policies of the City and established standards and practices of the legal profession.
The successful candidate will have graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school, and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of municipal law in a municipal setting. Knowledge of Oregon land use and employment law a plus.
This position requires admission to the bar of the State of Oregon and an active license to practice law in Oregon. The position requires sound management, supervision, and communication skills. Must have proficiency in the efficient use of an office computer.
The salary range is commensurate with experience, up to $8,471/mo. Management benefit package provided.
