Director, Corrections Health

Multnomah County Health Department is seeking a full-time administrator for the Corrections Health Program. This Director will direct, manage, and organize & evaluate the activities of Corrections Health within the Health Department, for medical, mental health, and dental care, provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at the Multnomah County Detention Center, Inverness Jail, and Juvenile Detention. This position requires the application of technical knowledge in the specialized field of Corrections Health, including utilizing medical, nursing, public health, corrections, and management knowledge and skills to direct the program, thereby assuring our clients receive care at the community standard. This Director must possess initiative and judgment in anticipating and determining proactive strategic directions in a constantly evolving medical/corrections environment, while upholding and following fiscal and legal parameters, along with program guidelines and policies. Collaboration, coordination, and maintaining an excellent working relationship with all levels within Corrections Health, as well as other Divisions within the Health Department Integrated Clinical Services, and all levels of Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Department of Community Justice (DCJ), County Attorney Office, District Attorney office, Courts, and other community and community partnerships is required.

Research Evaluation Analyst 2 (.80 FTE)

Multnomah County Health Department is seeking a Research Evaluation Analyst 2 to serve in the STD/HIV/Hep C Program. This position conducts program monitoring and evaluation, needs assessment and applied research to support the delivery of primary care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. This includes the design and implementation of surveys, the design of data collection tools and oversight of program data, data analysis and presentation of reports on HIV care services in a six county area. Reports will include assessment data, epidemiology, client and service utilization data, Findings will be used to identify gaps in the service continuum, to improve effectiveness of service provision and to provide background data for planning and policy purposes.  In addition, this work assists our partners and constituents to identify and monitor the public health needs of, and the risk and protective factors for adverse health conditions among, the HIV+ population in the Portlandmetropolitan area.  Additionally, the work supports decision makers and communities to make evidence-based, data-driven health decisions.
