Warm Up the Holiday Season for Less Fortunate

Community Action Head Start of Washington County is a non-profit organization serving the low-income population by providing early childhood education and resources to children ages six weeks to five years of age and their families. During the winter season, we coordinate an adopt-a-class program to provide winter jackets for the children and classroom educational gifts certificates.

We have 10 classrooms that have not been adopted (for a total of about 200 children.) We would like to provide new jackets for these children (if a classroom is adopted, teachers can provide a detailed list of genders and sizes and gift certificate needs) or a contribution of gender neutral jackets in sizes 3-5 years and/or gift certificates. Our goal was to have these dropped off to the teachers by next Fri (12/16.)

To assist, contact Elena Uhing, with resource development is the head of this project and she can be reached at: (503) 693-3252 (EUhing@caowash.org)  or contact Cherlyn (CPage@caowash.org)
